CG Times: Precision Serif Typography for Editorial Layouts

Balancing long-form body text across dense multi-column layouts without fatiguing the reader demands a disciplined approach to letterforms. CG Times addresses this exact challenge through robust vertical stress and compact proportions that maintain strict typographic rhythm. Built with sharp bracketed serifs, this transitional serif brings an air of corporate seriousness to pages where clarity and authority matter most. Designers working on academic publications and annual reports will find that its normal width and steady weight range from regular to bold provide reliable structure under tight column constraints. Available in OTF, TTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 formats, the family adapts smoothly from high-resolution print contexts to digital interfaces. Editorial designers can immediately implement localized copy in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, and Polish without compromising the underlying grid. By focusing strictly on structural legibility rather than decorative flourishes, the typeface establishes an enduring baseline for serious brand identities and extensive editorial projects.
